Now Faith

“What is Faith?”

We have been ask the question many times even from family members. I can only answer that question with the Word of God. Yes, we do walk with the Lord with the full assurance of faith.

Now faith is, the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. We must live by faith (Habakkuk 2:4 & Romans 1:17) because without God there is no faith (Deuteronomy 32:20, Mark 4:40). God has opened for us the door (Act 14:27) by giving us a measure of His faith (Romans 12:3), and we now can enjoy abundant living by walking in His grace and saving faith (Luke 7:50).

We will walk by faith (2 Corinthians 2:7) and the Word of faith (Romans 10:8) because without faith you cannot please God (Hebrews 11:6). For us to walk in the unity of faith (Ephesians 4:13) with other believers and become great in our faith (Mathew 8:10) we will need to understand the law of faith (Romans 3:27).

We have access to God by faith (Romans 5:2), this implies that we were not born of faith; we are by nature the children of disobedience (Ephesians 5:6) and our carnal mind is the enemy of God (Romans 8:7). Un-believers who have not known the Lord or have turned away (Acts 13:8) have vain faith (1 Corinthians 15:14). They will continue to live under the law because they have not been justified by faith (Romans 3:28). Those with little faith (Mathew 6:30 & 14-31) need to get their eyes opened to what is going on in the world and become sanctified by faith (Acts 26:18).

Faith will only work for us when we work our faith with power (1 Thessalonians 1:3 & 2 Thessalonians 1:11), He allows us to use His power (1 Peter 1:5) to prefect our faith (James 2:22), as He said faith without works is dead (James 2:20).

We can see (Mathew 9:2) some who have questionable faith (Luke 8:25) because their faith is failing (Luke 22:32). We can increase our faith (Luke 17:5) by hearing and studying the Word of God. Our faith will become stronger (Romans 4:20) as we put on the breastplate of faith (1 Thessalonians 5:8), which is our shield of protection (Ephesians 6:16).

As we continue (Colossians 1:23) walking in the spirit (2 Corinthians 4:13) abounding (2 Corinthians 8:7) we will become established in our faith (Colossians 2:7).

The Bible is a faith book, Hebrews 10:22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) 24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. (2 Corinthians 1:20). Please remember that some of the promises are conditional.

Please, read the complete passages before and after each verse to attain the full understanding.
